Southern Maine Siding wants every homeowner to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, screen magnification or a keyboard alone. We work toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA and review our pages against it as the site changes.

If a page, the estimate quiz or a town map gets in your way, email [email protected] or call us and we will work on a fix. You can always describe your siding project over the phone instead of through a form.

Effective October 19, 2026. Last updated October 19, 2026.

Every homeowner looking into new siding or a siding repair should be able to read and use this site. This statement explains the standard we work toward, what we have built in, where the site still falls short and how to report a problem.

Our Commitment

Accessibility is part of how we design, write and update each page on this website. When we find a barrier, or a visitor tells us about one, we put that barrier on our list to fix.

The Standard We Aim For

Our goal is Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the W3C. We do not claim that this site fully conforms to that standard, but those guidelines shape each design and build choice we make.

What We Have Built In

  • A logical heading order on each page, with link text that says where the link leads
  • Alt text on images that carry meaning, and a visible label on each form field
  • Color contrast checked to WCAG Level AA, and animations skipped when your device is set to reduce motion

Known Limitations

The interactive town maps can be hard to use with a screen reader. The towns marked on each map also appear as plain text links on the same page, so no information lives only in the map.

The map on our contact page comes from an outside map service, which has its own accessibility features and limits. This page also lists our email address and phone number as text links you can use instead.

How to Report a Problem

Tell us which page you were on and what you were trying to do. Email [email protected] or call (207) 506-2741, and we will look into the problem and work toward a fix.

Other Ways to Reach Us

A form that does not work for you should never keep you from a siding estimate. Call us instead, and we can take down the details of your house over the phone and set a time to look at your walls.

Updates to This Statement

We review this statement whenever the website changes in a meaningful way. The version on this page is the current one.
